Salt and pepper
2 sliced Cheddar cheese (can be replaced by Monterey Jack, Colby or Gouda)
2 hot dog buns, extra long
50 gr mayonnaise
25 gr ketchup
Put half the ground beef on a piece of plastic wrap. With your hands, form it to a rectangular shape, about 4 inches wide, 8 inches long, and 1/2 inch thick. Add salt and pepper, then, roll the beef into a log, using the plastic wrap as assistance. Add more salt and pepper. Wrap the plastic around the log and twist both ends tightly. Pat gently with your hands to flatten slightly. And now, do exactly the same with the rest of the ground beef. When grill is ready, extract the beef dogs from plastic wrap and grill about 5 minutes, flip, grill for another 3 minutes. The burgers should be well browned yet pink on the inside. Place a slice of cheese on each burger and grill until ready. Remove from the grill and set aside to rest for 3 minutes. Toast the dog buns until hot and crispy, spread mayonnaise, place the burger and spread with a bit of ketchup.
