The winter is the best time to develop new hobbies and crafts, such as knitting for example. You can knit your own winter wardrobe – scarves, hats, gloves and even sweaters – create special hand-made gifts for babies, pets and friends, or simply enjoy the meditative act of knitting. However, you don’t have to knit home alone as Vogue Knitting LIVE returns to New York City on January 16–18. The annual knitting event celebrates its fifth anniversary, offering special knitting classes and workshops for every level.
What is Vogue Knitting Live?
Vogue Knitting Live is a weekend full of fashions shows, knitting master classes and workshops for knitters all skill levels and a marketplace for yarn, knitting patterns, books and more. The event is organized by Vogue Knitting, the leading knitted fashion publication, and it is held in New York City, Seattle and Chicago since 2011.
Vogue Knitting Live brings together avid knitters from around the country (and even the world) as well as yarn celebs who teach workshops and sign books. The highlight of the event is the knit art gallery, which showcase an amazing display of knitted things in variety of materials (from glass to recycled cassette tape fiber) and products including futuristic garments, animals and food.
