Queens is the largest borough in New York City and the second most populated. As for 2014, Queens’ population reaches 2.3 million. Astoria – the most famous Queens neighborhood and the richest in culture and nightlife. Hunters Point – the most recognized neighborhood in Long Island City. A popular residential area thanks to its short distance from Manhattan. The contemporary branch of the Museum of Modern Art, MoMA PS 1, is located in Hunters Point, Queens, making it a must visit spot for art loving tourists.
Jamaica – the “capital city” of the borough, Jamaica is the common name of several neighborhoods in south-central Queens. Jamaica Avenue is a popular shopping destination for bargain stores and hip hop related merchandise.
Flushing – known for its mass of Korean and Chinese immigrant, the north-central Queens neighborhood offers many excellent Asian restaurants and bakeries. Queens Botanical Garden is the neighborhood’s 40 acres- green lung and one of its main attractions.
Forest Hills – regarded as the greenest and most beautiful Queens neighborhood, bordered by the two biggest public parks in Queens: the 544-acres Forest Park in the south and the 1,255-acres Flushing Meadows Park. The neighborhood also offers a variety of excellent restaurants and exclusive shops.
